Weather

Weather is a vital issue related to recreational boating safety. Be sure to check the current and forecasted weather, ideally beginning the day before and immediately before departure on your boating adventure.

To help make this easy for you CG Auxillary Flotilla 12-09 offers the following links to weather information in the inland bays area of Delaware. Also marine radios contain frequencies for the automated NOAA weather updates for planning while on the water.

Weather Sources

  1. The Weather Channel for Rehoboth Beach, DE
  2. NOAA marine buoy in Lewes, DE (Roosevelt Inlet)
  3. Weather Underground (Dewey Beach)
  4. Indian River buoy (19.5 NM SE of IR Inlet)
  5. Mid-Atlantic area radar
  6. NOAA Tide Charts (Rehoboth Beach area) 2009
