Classes
The best way to learn about safe boating is to attend our Basic Skills and Seamanship course. Classes are two hours one evening per week for 7 weeks. The location is Short's Marine on Long Neck Road, just east of Route 24 between Lewes and Millsboro. All important areas of recreational boating are covered and the comprehensive manual is a great reference to have long after the course is over.
The primary instructor, Andy Smith, has developed a famous reputation for being personable and an enjoyable presenter. The next course is scheduled to begin the week after Labor Day. Call Andy Smith for confirmation @ 537-2350.
Above is the BS&S class beginning Feb 22, 2010 Classes meet each Monday evenings for 7 consecutive weeks and covering 8 Chapters. The first class begins at 6:30pm to accommodate the sign-up process. All subsequent classes begin promptly at 7pm and conclude by 9:00pm. The cost is $35.00 and pre-registration is required (the classes often fill to capacity weeks before the course begins).
