Boating Safety and Seamanship Classes

Above are a few of the Instructors from Left Bill Tower, John Morrill, John Ballantyne, Angelo Caputo and Lead Instructor Andy Smith.

The best way to learn about safe boating is to attend our Basic Skills and Seamanship course. Classes are two hours one evening per week for 7 weeks. Classes are in Short's Marine Office Building, 32415 Long Neck Rd, Millsboro, DE. At the final sessions, Sgt. Rhodes, DE Boating Education, Fish & Wildlife Division, often makes an entertaining and informative presentation.

Classes meet each Monday evenings for 7 consecutive weeks and covering 8 Chapters. The first class begins at 6:30pm to accommodate the sign-up process. All subsequent classes begin promptly at 7pm and conclude by 9:00pm.

The next (Fall) class will begin on September 16, 2013.

Everyone is Welcome
